Ten years in Kentucky oak produces a profile that Rare Perfection consistently delivers across batches: a bourbon where the extended maturation has compressed the grain sweetness into something denser and more integrated than the age statement alone suggests, the oak influence present as structure rather than extraction. Batch 4 continues the series' track record — each numbered batch drawing from selected Kentucky straight bourbon stocks that Preservation's sourcing team identified as worth bottling at 107 proof rather than diluting toward a standard commercial proof point.

At 107 proof the bourbon has enough presence to carry the decade of barrel time without the proof dominating what the aging built. Dark caramel and dried stone fruit on the nose — the compression that ten Kentucky summers produce rather than the fresh fruit of younger expressions — with a mid-palate moving through toasted grain and vanilla into a baking spice thread that the extended maturation settled rather than amplified.
